Position Description:
Skilled Sheet Metal Programmer/Operator needed to support our manufacturing operation for a well-established supplier of food service equipment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Program, setup and operate a variety of sheet metal fabrication equipment including but not limited to: NC Brakes, Lasers, and Punch Presses
- Work directly from engineering drawings/DXF files to produce one off production parts and occasional prototype parts
- Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area.
- Lift up to 35 lbs.
- Must be able to work in a standing position up to 8 hours per day.
Minimum Qualifications:
- HS diploma with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 3 years of relevant experience is required.
- Experience utilizing/programming various sheet metal machines and processes.
- Ability to perform physical work.
- Knowledge on basic computer skills required to log job transactions and inventory transactions using ERP system.
- Must be a team player and be able to work on multiple projects as assigned.
- Forklift training or willingness to train required.
- This is a union position, if selected one will need to join the union before starting.
Shift/Pay:
- Full time Monday-Friday 6:00 AM-2:30 PM, pay $32.59 per hour; ability to work overtime as needed.
